It wasn’t uncommon to hear Kathie talk about the mechanics in the garage as her “work husbands”. Kathie was employed in the Accounts Payable department of Student Transportation of America in Lockport, where she had many co-workers that became amazing friends. They relocated back to Medina in 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed everything that Medina had to offer. Kathie married the love of her life, Larry Kochanowski on October 31, 2003. She graduated from Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida in 1984. She lived in Knowlesville until moving to Kissimmee, Florida in 1980. Kathie was born at Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital in Albion on September 20, 1966. She never said, “Why me?” but always said, “Ok what can we try next?”. Kathie was well known and well loved there for her positive attitude. Later, James took up residence in Venice, Florida until 1988 when, with other family members, he moved to Oak Ridge, Texas. He was also an active member of the Sacred Heart Club in Medina. He worked for Harrison Radiator, Bernzomatic and Eastman Kodak. James graduated from Medina High School in 1968. James leaves behind his brothers, Stephen (Linda) Parada of Kenmore, Robert Parada of West Seneca and sisters, Catherine (Brent) Akin of Kerrville, Texas and Mary Parada of Oak Ridge, Texas nieces and nephew Cynthia (Raymond) Sneed of Rochester, Christopher Parada of Kenmore and Emily (Stephen) Richards of Olathe, Kansas and great-niece and nephew, Addie and Noah Richards.
